This field focuses on the key strategies, skills and tools required for effective marketing in today's global world. Students develop critical skills and knowledge in areas of brand management, awareness and loyalty; consumer behaviour and purchasing decisions; the synthesis of information; public relations writing; and teamwork.
One should study marketing as it offers a variety of challenging and interesting career opportunities such as marketing research, retailing, personal selling and advertising among many other options. Marketing skills promote cultural, civic and charitable activities.
